Director - Private Clients
Arly V.L. Petersen
Arly V.L. Petersen hold a BBA in Finance from Copenhagen Business School. He worked for banks, real estate finance and stockbroking companies in Denmark. From 1988, he worked in Luxembourg for Nordea Bank SA as a Relationship Manager for UHNW families through three decades. He showed strong competences in investment portfolio management, with focus on cross boarder wealth planning with a well-established international network. He Implemented wealth solutions for Nordic families living internationally including relocation of families.
He joined 1875 FINANCE in 2019.
Managing Director
Johnny Bisgaard
Johnny Bisgaard began his financial career in 1998 with Danske Bank A/S in Denmark. In early 2000, he relocated to Luxembourg to join Danske Bank International as a Relationship Manager for Nordic families. Over more than two decades with Danske Bank International, he managed client portfolios, led the Private Banking division, and served as Managing Director of the company.
In 2022, Danske Bank International was acquired by Union Bancaire Privée (Europe) S.A., and Johnny Bisgaard joined UBP as Deputy CEO.
He joined 1875 FINANCE in March 2024.

Juan Alvarez Hernandez
Juan Alvarez Hernandez started his career in 2003 as a Real Estate Lawyer in Madrid, where he handled all legal aspects of real estate. In 2011, he moved to Luxembourg and worked at various institutions, including State Street Bank Luxembourg and MaplesFS (Luxembourg) SA. From 2015,
Juan held the position of Senior Business & Regulatory Advisor at Deutsche Bank Luxembourg SA. He joined 1875 FINANCE as Chief Compliance and Risk Officer and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2024.
Juan joined 1875 FINANCE (Luxembourg) SA in May 2019.
Director - Private Clients
Jørn Tilsted Christensen
Jørn Tilsted has completed his education in Danish business schools, and started his banking career in 1987 in a local Danish bank. He works and lives in Luxembourg since 1995, holding senior client adviser positions in various banks such as BIL, Nordea and UBS with focus on the Nordic clientele and investment portfolio management. He became a Certified International Analyst ( CIIA ) in 2004.
He joined the 1875 FINANCE ( Luxembourg ) in 2019.

Jens Hansen
Jens Hansen began his banking career in 1985 at Privatbanken Denmark. In 1989, he transitioned to Privatbanken Luxembourg, which later became Unibank Luxembourg & Denmark, and eventually Nordea Luxembourg. As a relationship manager, Jens focused on serving primarily Scandinavian high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families living internationally. He provided comprehensive wealth management solutions, with a particular emphasis on investment strategies and portfolio management. In late 2018, following UBS Luxembourg’s acquisition of Nordea Luxembourg’s private banking business, Jens joined UBS Luxembourg.
Jens joined 1875 FINANCE (Luxembourg) SA in August 2019.
Director - Private Clients
Martin Bundgaard
Martin Bundgaard started his career in institutional sales at Danske Bank Markets in Copenhagen, specializing in Equities. In 2005, he relocated to Luxembourg, where he worked for several financial institutions, including SEB. His most significant tenure was at Danske Bank International, where he served from 2012 to 2022. Most recently, he held the position of Vice President at Pictet Wealth Management.
Martin Bundgaard joined 1875 FINANCE (Luxembourg) SA in June 2024.
Junior Relationship Manager
Marc Petersen
Marc holds a Master of Science in Investment and Risk Finance from the University of Westminster, London. He began his career in 2016 at the European headquarters of an American independent investment management firm in London, specializing in Danish clients. In 2021, Marc relocated to Luxembourg to join the company’s newly established trading team, contributing to the office’s early growth.
In 2022, Marc transitioned to a Swiss private bank in Luxembourg, where he spent a year learning the intricacies of a private bank while continuing to deliver bespoke strategies to clients.
In 2023, Marc joined 1875 Finance at the Luxembourg office, where he now leverages his extensive experience in client service and investment management. Fluent in five languages, Marc is particularly adept at handling cross-border matters, ensuring seamless communication and understanding in multicultural contexts. He is dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of clients, offering tailored, bespoke investment strategies that align with the unique requirements of a family office.
Portfolio Manager
Alfonso Batalla
Alfonso Batalla started his career in 2014 with Mutuactivos, Madrid, and in 2018, he moved to Metagestion (Grupo Meridional) as a Portfolio manager. From 2018 to 2020, he was in charge of the Metavalor, Metavalor Interncional and Metavalor Pensiones funds, were he won different awards such as the Best Equity Spanish fund in 2021 and others. In 2022 he is promoted to Portfolio Manager and Private Banking director of Grupo Meridional. In 2022 he joins Renta 4 Banco as a sell side equity analyst covering Repsol, Jeronimo Martins, Sonae, Viscofan and others.
In July 2023, he joined 1875 Finance (Luxembourg) SA as a Portfolio Manager.

FINMA (Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority)
FINMA is Switzerland’s independent financial-markets regulator. Its mandate is to supervise banks, insurance companies, exchanges, securities dealers, collective investment schemes, and their asset managers and fund management companies. It also regulates distributors and insurance intermediaries. It is charged with protecting creditors, investors and policyholders. FINMA is responsible for ensuring that Switzerland’s financial markets function effectively.
CSSF
The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier is a public law entity that monitors professionals and products in the Luxembourg financial sector. It supervises, regulates, licenses, provides reporting, conducts onsite controls and imposes sanctions. It is also responsible for promoting transparency, simplicity and fairness on the markets for financial products and services and oversees the application of financial consumer protection law as well as the law on the combatting of money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
SAAM (Swiss Association of Asset Managers)
SAAM was founded in 1986 to provide a clear profile to the then emerging sector of independent Asset Managers. From the beginning, the focus was on the adoption of independent and professional working methods and the creation of a seal of quality. Today, SAAM has established itself as the leading association within the sector.
ASVM (Alliance of Swiss Wealth Managers)
Founded in 2016, the Alliance of Swiss Wealth Managers is a network of major wealth managers in Switzerland. It facilitates the exchange of expertise and experience between its members and thus strengthens their position within a demanding environment.
